MUSIC
by Carolina Williams
The flowing sound of harmony
The notes that fly around
The imagination in their head
That all composers found
The magic voice of noise
That made colors in the air
The swirling sound of instruments
Heard from everywhere
Always entertaining
Starts a wonderful day
It fills a home with gracious sound
Every time your hear it play
All crayons in the children's hands
Will slowly float away
And make beautiful drawings in the air
Every night and day
Everyone had heard it
Millions of times before
Even when it grows very recent
The people still want more
Art in the making
The paintbrush makes circles
Each is a different painting
Of which the mind holds
The magesty of every song
The note of every measure
Collided into a masterpiece
A song we will remember
A pencil and a sheet of paper
What other way to use it
Than to think about a memory
And turn it into music?
The notes that fly around
The imagination in their head
That all composers found
The magic voice of noise
That made colors in the air
The swirling sound of instruments
Heard from everywhere
Always entertaining
Starts a wonderful day
It fills a home with gracious sound
Every time your hear it play
All crayons in the children's hands
Will slowly float away
And make beautiful drawings in the air
Every night and day
Everyone had heard it
Millions of times before
Even when it grows very recent
The people still want more
Art in the making
The paintbrush makes circles
Each is a different painting
Of which the mind holds
The magesty of every song
The note of every measure
Collided into a masterpiece
A song we will remember
A pencil and a sheet of paper
What other way to use it
Than to think about a memory
And turn it into music?

Thank you, mom, for publishing my poem for everyone to see. I am very glad that you really like it. :D
Wow!! This is a fantastic piece of work regardless of her age but knowing it came from a 10 year old gives it even more prestige!
I had a few favorite lines but here's one if them "And make beautiful drawings in the air"
Hannah
